Substance Use Disorder
Approximately 250 million people globally use addictive substances each year, with nearly 30 million of those experiencing substance use disorder.
In the United States alone, over 60% of individuals over the age of 12 admit to using a substance in the past month. However, only one in six individuals will seek treatment. For those that do, half will drop out of the program. As many as 86% of individuals will relapse.

Since the pandemic, the amount of substance use and mental health issues has only increased, with an already taxed staff level. The demand continues to outpace the funding and staffing for this problem.
